1. What we do
PermitsPros is a permit expediting firm. We prepare and file permit applications, coordinate plan review, track status, and deliver your issued permit and stamped plans. "We file permits same-day" means we submit your complete application the same business day it's ready — it is not a promise of approval, issuance, or any review timeline. The city or jurisdiction alone decides whether, and when, a permit issues.
2. What you promise us
- Your information is accurate — addresses, contacts, license numbers, project scope.
- You have the right to authorize this work: you're the property owner, a licensed contractor on the job, or an authorized representative.
- Documents you upload are yours to share and are true copies.
- You won't use the portal for anything unlawful, or to misrepresent a project to a jurisdiction.
3. Fees and payment
- Our service fees are shown before you order — $125 single trade, $250 Simple Bundle (2–4 trades, one site), $250 complex, and posted per-site prices for specialty services. Batch orders: 10+ permits get 10% off, applied automatically.
- Our service fee is earned when we submit your application and is non-refundable after submission.
- City and jurisdiction fees are separate — plan check, permit, impact, and inspection fees are paid by you directly to the city. We surface every city invoice to you immediately; we never mark them up and never front them.
- Corrections rounds: the first resubmittal round is included where stated; additional rounds are quoted in writing before we resubmit — never a surprise charge.
- Pro subscriptions (Solo $149/mo, Crew $349/mo) bill monthly until cancelled. Credits apply to filing fees on your plan; unused credits don't roll over. Cancel anytime — you keep service through the end of the paid month.
4. No outcome promises
We don't control reviewers, plan-check corrections, or issuance timelines. Estimates, predictions, and "pass predictor" scores are our good-faith reads of published city patterns — not guarantees. If the city requires corrections, we'll tell you exactly what and quote any additional work in writing first.
5. Your documents and the dashboard
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited license to use those documents to file and track your permits. We store them securely and never use them for anyone else's project.
6. Free tools
The permit checker, estimator, guides, and shared tracking links are free. They're guidance, not legal advice and not a substitute for reading your city's actual requirements. Shared permit links can be revoked by the owner at any time.
7. Referrals
Referral credits ($25 to you, $25 to your friend) are permit credits applied to future invoices — not cash, not transferable, honored at our discretion against fraud or abuse.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Cancel before we submit and we'll refund your service fee in full. After submission, the service fee is earned and non-refundable. If we haven't filed within 2 business days of receiving everything needed, through our own fault, you may cancel for a full refund of our service fee.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the service fee you paid for that order. We're not liable for city delays, denials, correction requirements, or losses from project downtime. Nothing here limits liability for our own fraud or willful misconduct.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify PermitsPros against claims arising from inaccurate information you provided, work performed without proper authorization, or misuse of the portal.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by California law. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Contra Costa County, California.
12. Changes
We'll post changes here with a new effective date and note material changes on the portal home page for 30 days. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
