The charging-site permit set
What one site usually pulls
Electrical permit for the chargers and distribution + panel or service upgrade when the building's capacity needs it + trenching / encroachment where runs cross sidewalks, drive aisles, or the public right-of-way + signage and striping items + the accessibility package — accessible charging stalls and path-of-travel items that many jurisdictions review as part of the permit. Some cities also run charging through a planning or zoning check first. We map the set per site, from the address, before anything files.
- Electrical & panel permits — $125 simple tier — charger circuits and panel work filed at our published flat rate where the scope fits the tier; larger service upgrades scoped in the written quote
- Per-site packages — electrical plus trenching, signage, and accessibility items priced as one site number in writing
- Rollout programs — the same site playbook run across every location: documents stored once, each city's variations handled per address, 10+ locations = 10% off
- Utility-side tracking — the permit clock and the utility's service clock tracked side by side on your board, so a stalled side is visible early instead of at install week
How it works
- Send the site address + charger count. Level 2 or DC fast, new stalls or a retrofit — plus your engineer's load calculations when they exist.
- We scope the site's full set. Electrical, structural or trenching items, signage, accessibility, and any planning check — one written site price.
- Filed same-day, tracked to final. Complete packages file the day they're approved; inspections scheduled with your install sequence; corrections answered within one business day.
- Rollouts run as one program. Every site on one board, same documents, per-city variations handled — the tenth site permits as fast as the first.
Questions
Do you handle the utility side too?
We track it and coordinate the paperwork sequence, but the utility sets its own timeline for service upgrades and meter work — nobody can file that faster from the outside. What we make sure of: the city's permits are never the reason the utility milestone slips, and both clocks are visible on your board from day one.If a site's utility lead time is the long pole, the scoping says so — before you schedule the crew.
What about accessibility requirements for charging stalls?
California and many other jurisdictions require a share of charging stalls to be accessible, with specific stall, reach, and path-of-travel dimensions — and reviewers check them on the plans. We flag the requirement in scoping and make sure your plan set addresses it before filing, because an accessibility correction round costs more time than any fee on the project.Design stays with your engineer of record; we check the package against the jurisdiction's published checklist before it files — that's the Checker pass.
What does it cost?
Published flat prices where they apply ($125 simple electrical tier), per-site packages and rollout programs quoted in writing before work begins. City fees are separate, at cost, with receipts — the same discipline on site forty as on site one.Filing is not approval or issuance — no one can promise those.
